Alfred Richard Ravagli

Alfred Richard Ravagli, 82, of Appomattox, formerly of Watertown, CT, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Helen Agnes DuBois Ravagli for 60 years.

Born in New Britain, Dec. 1, 1935, he was a son of the late Mildred Paldino and James E. Ravagli. Alfred attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, and he retired from the IRS after 33 years of service. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lynn Marie McMahon and husband, Jack of Lynchburg; two sons, Richard James Ravagli and Jeannine of Appomattox and Joseph Dona Ravagli and wife, Brenda of Pamplin; one sister, Dorothy Sasso of Plainville, CT; five grandchildren, Jennifer Musick and husband, Andrew, Daniel McMahon, Joshua Ravagli and wife, Whitney, Rachel Ravagli, Nicholas Ravagli and wife, Cara; two great-grandchildren, Breanna and Dharma; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jim Gallagher officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence following the service.
