FARMVILLE — Given that Farmville town offices will be closed Friday and will reopen Wednesday, the garbage and recycling routes will change. There will be no garbage collection Monday; those who are on the residential garbage route for Monday will be served Tuesday. Business garbage and cardboard collection will also take place Tuesday. On Wednesday, the normal Tuesday residential garbage route will be served. No business garbage and cardboard will be collected Wednesday. Business recycling and residential cardboard may call in requests. Wednesday’s residential garbage will be collected Thursday, Dec. 28, and business garbage and cardboard collection will be served Friday, Dec. 29.

“Christmas trees will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 28, and Friday, Dec. 29, as well as Wednesday, Jan. 3,” officials said in a press release. “Loose leaf pick up will end Dec. 21 for the holiday and will resume on Jan. 3 and run as needed.”
