Cartersville Baptist Church will present the cantata, “Forever God is With Us,” on Friday, Dec. 15, and Sunday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. The cantata will tell the Christmas story in word and song. The narration will be read by Fred Shumaker. The musical will include the adult choir and a children’s choir. A solo, “Welcome to this World,” will be sung by Victoria Kinney preceding the cantata. First sopranos are Gail Tompkins, Nancy Lewis, Denise Bryant and Victoria Kinney. Second sopranos are Jenny Bales, Wanda Johnston, June Pleasants, Tina Shumaker and Janice Hudgins. Altos are Jennifer Norman, Earlene Canaan, Karen Gibson, Linda Stanley and Anna Arthur. Tenors are Randy Bryant, Dover Johnston, Spanky Pleasants and Darryl Dunn. Basses are Fred Shumaker, Dave Hale, David Mack and Brian Stanley. Mary and Joseph will be performed by Chloe Cunningham and Cole Dalton. Children’s choir members are Annabelle Mack, Chloe Cunningham, Cole Dalton, Cierra Jeffers, Kendall Arthur, Riley Deane, Sophie Stevens, Heather Stevens, Bella Suleski, Brianna Barker and Brett Dalton. The director/pianist is Vivian Dunn. Nancy Lewis will direct the children’s choir. Everyone is invited to attend, and refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.
