Public meeting to talk security

Law enforcement organizations in Prince Edward County and Farmville will hold an information session for security measures for places of worship and other public gatherings in the Heart of Virginia on Monday, Nov. 27.

According to a public notice from the Town of Farmville provided by Farmville Communications Specialist Kate Pickett Eggleston, the public information meeting will be held at the Farmville Town Hall’s Council Chamber at 116 N. Main St. at 6 p.m.

“The meeting is to provide the public with information on security measures for places of worship, as well as organizations that host events where there are large groups of participants attending,” the notice cited.

Law enforcement members will present guidelines on security measures and answer questions from members of the public.
