Happy Hats enjoy play

On Aug. 4, the Prospect Happy Hats, Hilda Allen, Elfrieda Kerns, Margaret Stockton, Jeannette Tarlton and Dolly Worthy, along with Richard Stockton, enjoyed the Waterworks Players production of “And Then There Were None.” They enjoyed dinner at Merk’s Place first. Richard and Margaret were ushers at the production before enjoying the play.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Fauci were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meadows on Sunday evening.

Recently Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith spent the weekend with Jeff’s mother, Mrs. Dolores Smith while she was recovering from surgery. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith made an overnight visit to Raleigh, North Carolina where they enjoyed shopping and dining out.

Mrs. Flora Bolt attended the funeral of a dear friend, Mrs. Frances Anderson Aug. 5.

Mrs. Flora Bolt was guest of Mrs. Judy Bolt on Sunday following church services for lunch; also attending were Mrs. Jennifer Bolt Jones, Chris Bolt, Alexa Moser and Judy’s uncle Bob Johnson, of Richmond.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Pastor Evelyn Penn, of the Prince Edward Charge (Beulah, Mt. Harmony and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist churches), who is having back surgery; Don Meadows, Frances P. Motley and Betty Jean Bolt.

Friends and neighbors are extending their sincere sympathy to the family of Frances Slayton Johnson Anderson.
