April Merkle, one of the operators of Merk’s Place on West Third Street in Farmville, recently donated her time and talents to the Piedmont Area Veterans Council by creating a logo for the council and embroidering its shirts. We commend Merkle for helping this organization through her stitching each shirt and offering her creativity toward a logo that members of the community will recognize as one that represents veterans.
