Inez U. Short, 93, of Powhatan, widow of Dock Short, passed away May 7, 2017.

She is survived by her son, Donald Short (Carolyn) of Powhatan; one brother, Hibbert Matney of Dillwyn; three sisters, Lenora Thanos of Maryland, Carrie Woosley, Albirta Lowe both of Ohio; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Route 60), Powhatan.
