Central Virginia Community Health Center (CVCHC) welcomes Jennifer Hellard, registered dental hygienist, to its practice. Hellard joins Drs. Fritz and Russo in the dental department.

Hellard received her degree in dental hygiene from Wytheville Community College in Wytheville. She has 10 years experience in the dental field and is currently a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. Prior to joining CVCHC, she worked as a dental hygienist at a private dental office in Farmville. Hellard is a native of the area and is excited to join the staff at CVCHC and to provide dental services to the community.

CVCHC is part of Central Virginia Health Services (CVHS) a non-profit community health center and is Virginia’s first community health center. In addition to dental care, CVCHC also offers a full range of medical, behavioral health, x-ray, mammography, and pharmacy services for the whole family. Community health centers like CVCHC are locally-based and patient-directed organizations intended to serve populations with limited access to health care because of geography, lack of insurance, poverty, or other factors. Along with other health care safety net providers, the health center plays a key role in community health. CVCHC takes most insurance plans and offers an income-based discount for services for low-income families.
