W&L picks up 10-7 win over lacrosse

The Washington and Lee University Generals held off Hampden-Sydney lacrosse for a 10-7 win on Saturday afternoon.

H-SC opened the second half with a man-up goal courtesy of Chandler Shaheen (Richmond/St. Christopher’s) at 9:03, but the Generals would go on to score four straight times in the last five minutes of the third quarter to go into the fourth quarter with a three goal cushion, 8-5.

Connor Pool paced the Tiger offense with three goals and one assist. Jake Koferl added a goal and an assist. Thomas Passenant (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) recorded four caused turnovers along with four ground balls.

Hampden-Sydney hosts Ferrum College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
