A wide assortment of special self-guided and ranger-led programs will provide visitors unique park experiences in all 36 state parks March 18-April 3.

“When families and friends spend moments together in Virginia State Parks, those moments become lifetime memories that are cherished forever,” State Parks Director Craig Seaver said. “Spring break is the perfect time to get outdoors, shed those winter blues and enjoy what parks have to offer.”

Ranger-led activities are generally available on the weekends, but all parks offer self-guided explorations including backpacks with field guides and binoculars as well as  GPS units to rent for geocaching, self-guided trails, scavenger hunts and other games.
