The fact of the matter is this: The Herald is in the accuracy business.

In John Jamieson’s guest column “Voter ID necessary for sound elections,” published on this page on Friday, several inaccuracies were published.

Jamieson presented several statistics regarding voter turnout and participation in the 2012 presidential election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, supporting elements of alleged voter fraud.

The fact is that the statistics supporting his claims were wrong. The Annenburg Public Policy Center’s Factcheck.org, a reputable resource for sorting fact from fiction in the political arena, debunks the claims.
