SEPTEMBER 14 – Samuel Lee “Skeeter” Poulston Sr., 96, of Farmville, passed away Friday evening, September 10, 2010 in Farmville.

He was born in Cumberland County, October 21, 1913 to William and Martha Anne Wright Poulston. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of WWII.

He is survived by a son, Samuel L. Poulston Jr. of Farmville; daughters, Ruby McAllister of Charlotte Court House, Shirley Jamerson of Buckingham, Joyce Robertson of Green Bay, and Debbie Lusk of Keysville; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Two sons, Charles Howard Poulston and Tony Stuart Poulston, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted Monday in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
