Robert L. Jackson

LUNENBURG, Oct. 22 – Robert Louis Jackson was born in Lunenburg County on January 21, 1940 to Helen B. Jackson and the late Joseph Jackson Sr.

He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville. Mr. Jackson accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized and joined Springfield Baptist Church in Meherrin.

He leaves to mourn his memories; a devoted and loving mother, Helen Jackson; son, Robert Jackson Jr.; three daughters, Gina, Jolene (Anthony), and Jana (Kevin); two step-children, John and Susan, all of New York; five sisters, Florence Brown of Crewe, Helen Hughes (Willis) of Meherrin, Frances Thomas of Victoria, Barbara Womack and Edith Hensle both of Meherrin; three brothers, Curtis Jackson of Brunswick, GA, Larry Jackson of Meherrin, and Otis Jackson (Kathy) of Richmond; 15 grand-children; one great-granddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by Josephine Kramer with whom he had four children.

A Homegoing Service was held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Springfield Baptist Church, Meherrin. The Rev. Dr. Theodore T. Brown, Pastor, officiated.

Wilson Funeral Home, Keysville, served the family.
