Kenneth W. Elliott, 62 Of Buckingham Dies On Thursday

BUCKINGHAM, Oct. 27 – Kenneth Wayne Elliott, 62, of Buckingham, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009. He was born May 26, 1947 to the late Aaron W. Elliott and Ida Pierce Elliott. He formally worked at Trans Continental Pipeline in Appomattox. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was also a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Ida Pierce Elliott of Appomattox; wife, Rita M. Elliott of Buckingham; son, Greg Elliott and wife, Ashley of Appomattox; four step-children, Robin Taylor and husband, Danny; Lisa Warner and husband, Barry; Bob Huddleston and wife, Tammy; and Ann Davis and husband, Chris, all of Buckingham; two sisters, Barbara Sheppard of Fayetteville, NC and Shelby Elliott of Gladys; brother, Michael Elliott and wife, Gayle of Gladys; two grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews; a special sister-in-law, Brenda Tatum of Buckingham; and special friends, Jan Brock of Fayetteville, NC, and Alvin and Mariea Hendshaw of Buckingham. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Anderson Alvin Elliott.

His remains rest at Dunkum Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:30-9 p.m., Thursday.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dillwyn Rescue Squad, Fire Department or Salem United Methodist Church.
