AUGUST 5 – Margaret Walton Dugger, 89, of Farmville, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in Farmville. She was born December 6, 1920 in Rice, the daughter of the late Frederick Walton and Evelyn Morrissette Walton. She was a very active member of Virginia Beach Methodist Church for 45 years and held numerous positions in the church. She was also a very avid bridge player.

She was the widow of Merrill Yancey Dugger.

Mrs. Dugger is survived by a daughter, Judy Taylor and husband, Lawrence William Taylor, III of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Pam Allard of Norfolk; sister, Myrtle Banton of Rice; grand-children, Ian Taylor, Lauren Taylor and Rick Allard and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, C. J. Allard and sister, Lou Ayres.

A funeral service will be held Sunday August 8, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before the service (2-3 p.m.) at the funeral home, with interment in Westview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prince Edward County Rescue Squad, Rice Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of your choice.
