The Virginia Department of Transportation has issued a traffic alert for the Lynchburg District for the week of June 21-27. Work in area counties includes:

Buckingham County: Route 602 over Forsip Creek – June 22-July 10, road closed for culver t replacement. Detour via 649, 648, 60, 56 and back to 602.

Route 631 (20 — 700) — Road closure in effect with detour using Route 700. Est. comp. 9/18/15.

Various locations — Crews will do surface work, mow and respond to customer concerns.

Various locations — Surface treatment operations will take place. Flaggers and pilot vehicles will assist.

Cumberland County:  Route 606 — Crews will clean ditches.

Route 620 (Amelia/Cumberland Co. line) — Closed 2/23-8/02/15 for structure replacement. Detour via Routes 621, 13, 654 and 600.

Various locations — Surface treatment operations continue. Flaggers will assist in work zones.

Various — Crews will work surfaces, mow, cut brush, clean pipe and respond to customer concerns.

Prince Edward County:  Various routes — Crews will perform surface treatment operations at various locations, weather permitting. Flaggers will assist in work zones. Various – Crews will work surfaces, mow and respond to customer concerns.

District-wide Activities:

Bridge and guardrail maintenance — Crews will perform bridge/guardrail maintenance.
