Gladys S. Fulcher, 94

PROSPECT, Oct. 28 – Gladys Seay Fulcher, 94, of Prospect, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at Southside Community Hospital, Farmville.

Mrs. Fulcher was born April 14, 1914 to the late William Hennings Seay and Ethel Watson Seay. She was retired from Craddock and Terry Shoe Corporation and was a member of Glenn Memorial Baptist Church. She loved to travel and meet new friends. She enjoyed talking to everyone she met and getting to know all about them.

She is survived by a son, Henning Haynesworth “Sonny” Fulcher Sr. and wife, Phyllis of Prospect; grandchildren, Patricia Faircloth and husband, Buster of Prospect, Henning Haynesworth “Boo” Fulcher Jr. and friend, Mark Jones of Farmville, and Marsha Fulcher and husband, Dale Vaughan of Prospect; a grand-Godchild, Tammy King Kitchen of Green Bay; six great-grandchildren, Lindsey Faircloth, Jonathan Faircloth, Kayla Vaughan, Devon Vaughan, Dakota Vaughan and Avian Vaughan; two sisters, Mattie Roberts of Doswell and Lucy Ragland of Spout Spring; one brother, Christian Seay of Appomattox, and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church, Prospect, with the Rev. David Peppler officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Buckingham.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday (tonight) at Shorter Funeral Home.
