MARYLAND, April 29 – Robert B. “Bob” Newton, 71, formerly of Suitland, MD died on Friday, April 25, 2008 at his home in Sterling. He was born on June 23, 1936 in Buckingham County to the late Julian C. and Carrie Dunkum Newton.

Bob was the beloved brother of Herman Newton of Sterling, Evelyn Courtney of Henrico, NC and Susan VanLinden of Seattle, WA, and is also survived by three nieces and three nephews.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 29 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 1-2pm at the Arvon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 28350 North James Madison Highway, Arvonia, VA. Interment will be private.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Loudoun County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1178, Lees-burg, VA 20177.
