CUMBERLAND, Sept. 18 – Janice Marlene Pearson Sullivan, 69, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Farmville.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, January 2, 1943 Mrs. Sullivan was the daughter of the late James Albert and Alice Louise Austin Pearson. She was retired from Cumberland County Schools where she served in the high school cafeteria. She loved to draw, paint and sketch. Some of her artwork is displayed in the office of Centra Hospice, Farmville. She was a kind and loving person who always saw the good in everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband, Harry C. Sullivan of Cumberland; sisters, Florence Keller of Cumberland and Joann Martin of Richmond; nieces, Charlotte Morris and Sherry Keller; great-niece, Stephanie Morris; great-nephews, Daniel Morris, Lewis Ray “Buddy” Martin and Jimmy Martin; and several other nieces and nephews in Tennessee, Ohio and California.

A funeral service was held Saturday, September 15, in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Interment followed in Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cumberland.
