PROSPECT, June 3 – Mrs. Annie Carwile Driskill, 82, of Prospect passed away Monday morning, June 2, 2008 in Farmville. She was born July 20, 1925 in Carroll County, the daughter of the late James H. and Rosa Easter Dean. Mrs. Driskill worked in the Shoe Factory and in the Garment Factory as a seamstress. She was the widow of Clem Driskill.

She is survived by her children, Carol Anne Reynolds and husband, Melvin of Pamplin, Richard Donald Carwile and wife, Frances of Waxhaw, NC, James H. Carwile and wife, Eunice of Farmville and Joan Carwile Wilson and husband, Bobby of Prospect; a brother, Glenn R. Dean of Abilene; sisters, Sadie Johnson and Iva Reinhardt both of Keysville, Lou Dodson of Gum Springs, and Irene Zitta of Abilene; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Carwile; grandson, Christopher Dean Morris and brother, James H. Dean Jr.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church with interment in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Darlington Heights.

Family will receive friends Tuesday evening (today) from 68 p.m. at the Puckett Funeral Home.
