Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Steve Morris and Grace Martin, both of Dillwyn, celebrating on Friday, July 13; Marie Conwell, of Farmville, celebrating on Saturday, July 14; and Helen Connell, of Dillwyn celebrating on Wednesday, July 18.

On Friday, July 6, Elizabeth Cook and daughters Tina and Holly, all from Midlothian, along with Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, enjoyed an afternoon of dinner and fellowship at a Farmville restaurant.

Earlene Baker, of Richmond, spoke to Barry Miles of Cumberland on Sunday afternoon and extended her thanks to family in Farmville, Cumberland and in many other localities for their continued thoughts and prayers.

Belated Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Jane Grey, of Cumberland, and Florence Miles, of Rice, who celebrated on Thursday, July 12.

Barry and Linda Miles and Tina and Holly Cook all enjoyed an evening of food, fun and fellowship at a Richmond restaurant on Friday, June 29.

Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to those who are sick and shut-in everywhere.

Visiting in the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland on Sunday afternoon July 8 were George and Nicole Dickson and their daughter of Cartersville.

Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church would like to note that due to the 4th of July celebrations and vacations, there will be no first Saturday night Gospel sing this month.

Barry and Linda Miles along with Darlene Christian, of new Canton, enjoyed great food, and fellowship Sunday evening July 1.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association would like to express their deepest heartfelt sympathy to the Eileen Reynolds family of Buckingham in the passing of their son, July 2, in Richmond. May the family find comfort, grace and strength from the Lord in the days that lie ahead.

Spreading God's Gifts Inc., of Buckingham, is a non-profit local organization that extends help to individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited to come learn how to help monthly meetings. The next meeting is set for Saturday, July 14, at First Baptist Church in Dillwyn at 3:30 p.m. The church is located on U.S. Route 15 Main Street. Cedar Baptist Church, located just off of U.S. Rt. 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Road) hosts a Men's Promise Keepers Prayer Breakfast Sunday mornings (excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, located on Main Street in Dillwyn. All members are cordially invited to attend and bring a covered dish. Tea will be provided by the association. The guest speaker for the month is Henry Fulcher of radio station WFLO. The Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store located on U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All proceeds from the thrift store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need.
