JULY 3 – Verna Mae Holman, 35, of Farmville, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was born in Prince Edward County on April 17, 1977 to William Holman and the late Elsie Hackney Holman.

She loved watching movies and attended cooking school and was a member of The Townhouse of Farmville.

Ms. Holman is survived by her father, William B. Holman; brothers, Irving Holman (Katherine), John Holman, and Jesse Holman all of Cumberland and Frank Holman (Bernadette) of Farmville; sisters, Mary Mullins (Paul) of Texas, Sandra Landis (Glenn) of Cumberland, Patty Morton (Rocky) of Farmville; nieces and nephews, Jesse Helton, Henry Landis, B.J. Holman, Bridgett Landis, Harold Landis, Jason Morton and Brook Landis and her significant other, Jesse Woodfin.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 6 at 2 p.m. in the Holman Family Cemetery.
