GREEN BAY, May 20 – Charles P. Kauffman, 79, of Green Bay, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in his home. He was the widower of Doris Newton Kauffman.

Mr. Kauffman was a retired Commercial fisherman.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah K. Murphy of Green Bay and Pamela K. Hazelwood and husband, Thomas R. of Farmville; sister, Hilda Martin and husband, Bill of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Grady Thomas III and wife, Sarah of Richmond, Shane Murphy of Green Bay, Jason Glenn and wife, Tracy of Mechanicsville, Brooke Hazelwood and Sean Tonkin of Carolina Beach, NC; and great-grandchildren, Lillie Woods, Chase Thomas and, soon to be born, Vivian Glenn.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 17, in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Christian Church, Green Bay, or the Meherrin Volunteer Fire Department.
