Bernard “B.B.” Stout, 86

NEW CANTON, May 20 – Bernard B. (BB) Stout, 86, of New Canton, died at home on Friday, May 16, 2008. He was born in Accoville, WV, on August 8, 1921 at the Methodist Episcopal South Parsonage to Perry Edward and Elsie Brown Stout. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lou Browning of Bridgeport, WV, and brother, Ben Stout, of Aberdeen, MD.

He resided with the family of his brother, David B. Stout in New Canton. He is survived by his sister, Rose Mary Stout of New Canton; brothers, David B. Stout of New Canton and Joseph Stout of Lewisburg, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stout attended the Welcome Wesleyan Church in New Canton. He lived in Wood, Logan, and many other counties in West Virginia. While living in Aberdeen, MD, he participated in Special Olympics a number of years and won many awards.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the Welcome Wesleyan Church in New Canton.

Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.

A memorial service will be held at Claypool, WV, at a later date.

Colbert Funeral Home, Bremo Bluff, is serving the family.
