DILLWYN, July 22 – Robert J. Shumaker, 60, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 in a Charlottesville hospital. He was born May 2, 1948 in Buckingham County, the son of the late James Mathew Shumaker and Viola Banton Shumaker.

He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth S. Moss of Mechanicsville and Edna S. Moss of Dillwyn; and a brother, George Shumaker of Mechanicsville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Buckingham Co. Rescue Squad or Bethlehem Baptist Church.
