MAY 27 – Barbara Annette Lassahn, 77, of Buckingham County, died Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Franklin Pierce and Mary Anne Farmer Pierce; a daughter, Judith Kay Lassahn; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Ernest F. Lassahn; three sons, Gerard A. Lassahn of Farmville, Steven E. Lassahn and wife, Barbara of Lancaster, PA, and Daniel F. Lassahn of Buckingham County; two sisters, Erma Bishop of Baltimore and Wilma Williams of Henderson, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ernest F. Lassahn and the Rev. Dave Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Scottsville.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday (today) at the funeral home.
