BUCKINGHAM, July 8 – Charlie Walker Huddleston, 84, of Buckingham, died Monday, July 7, 2008. He was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Company.

He is survived by two daughters, Deborah H. Wright of Midlothian and Carolyn Diane Taylor of Mechanicsville; a son, Charlie Eugene Huddleston of Buckingham; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville, where funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, July 10, in the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Buckingham.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Association, P.O. Box 6359, Glenn Allen, VA 23058-6359.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, is in charge of arrangements.
