DECEMBER 29 – Mildred Erlene Bowman, 69, of Farmville passed away Tuesday evening, December 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1940 in Prince Edward County. She was the daughter of the late Maurice Ray and Mildred Price Hubbard.

Mrs. Bowman was a long time employee of CVS in Farmville and retired from Hampden-Sydney College where she worked in the campus book-store.

She is survived by her husband, Rogers Bowman; daughter, Maria Dickinson and husband, Robert of Powhatan; brother, Tommy Hubbard and wife, Pam of Farmville; grand-daughter, Alexandra, and nieces and nephews, Joyce Eggleston, Lisa Lockner and husband, Sam and Danny Hubbard and wife, Chasity.

A funeral service was held Monday at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice.
