It took less than 24 hours to do it. Just a few hours after tickets went on sale for the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 matchups on Friday at Hampden-Sydney College, they were already sold out.

The school put out a statement after the sell-out, saying there may be one more chance for people looking to get a last-minute ticket.

“We anticipate having a limited number of tickets available on Thursday, March 7,” school officials said in the statement.

That will be available both online and in-person beginning at 10 a.m. If you want to buy in person, you’ll need to be at the Athletic Administrative Office in the Kirk Athletic Center. And school officials advised to be there right at 10 a.m., as this final batch is expected to go quick. If you don’t want to go in person, you can get one of those final tickets by clicking here. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens.

Where did these extra tickets come from? Every school in this Sweet 16 sectional is given a number of tickets to be used for students and alumni. Any of those tickets which are unused will be returned by Thursday morning. If they don’t end up selling out on Thursday, then people will have one final chance to get tickets at the door on Friday, March 8, beginning at 3 p.m. One reminder: tickets are good for both games on Friday.

Now as for Saturday’s tickets, they’re not on sale yet. In fact, they won’t go on sale until Friday night after game two ends. If you can’t buy on Friday night, they will also be available at the door on Saturday, starting at 5 p.m.

Who’s playing in Sweet 16 Sectional?

Hampden-Sydney is one of four competitors in this Sweet 16 sectional and was also chosen to serve as the host. As for the schedule, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA) and Nebraska Wesleyan will play on Friday, March 8, at 4 p.m., while the nationally-ranked No. 1 Tigers will play Rowan (NJ) on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. The two winners will play on Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m. for a trip to the Final Four in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
