At its Feb. 13 meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors had the pleasure of recognizing the County’s February Employee of the Month, Edna Lee. Edna is a Travel Counselor in the Virginia’s Heartland Visitor Center and an almost three-year employee of the County.

“Edna recently returned to work at the Visitor Center and she has not missed a beat,” said Chelsey White, the County’s Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “She is one of the strongest, most determined people that I know.”

“Edna is a team player with innovative solutions. Her strength, determination, attitude, and resilience are inspiring, and she exemplifies customer service,” White continued. “Edna does everything she can to answer visitor’s questions and provide assistance to them. She works with staff to solve problems and takes initiative to always maintain a positive attitude. Edna has overcome extensive challenges, and in spite of it all, she continues to display all of the County’s core values.”
