Billy was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Crump Construction Company, Inc. for 60 years, and just recently retired in June 2022. Having built numerous roads and many ponds in Buckingham, Prince Edward, Cumberland and Nelson Counties, he took pride in his work and was well known for his bulldozer and excavator skills.

Billy loved spending time with his family for Sunday dinners, raising a garden to share with his neighbors and hanging out with the morning crowd at Millbrook Country Corner. He also loved to fish and go out kayaking. Billy never met a stranger and would always strike up a conversation no matter where he met you. He was dedicated, honest, compassionate and one of the hardest working men you would ever meet.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, 12053 Francisco Road, Farmville, with funeral to begin at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at the cemetery.
