Not everything was shut down last weekend due to rain. Cumberland residents came out to Courthouse Circle on Friday, Dec. 1 to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with a tree lighting. The school choir performed while residents sipped hot chocolate and made s’mores, before singing Christmas carols and counting down to the official tree lighting.
