Prince Edward County has a new Information Technology Manager. Administrator Doug Stanley made the announcement Wednesday, saying that Shawn Howard would take the job as of June 1.

 “On behalf of the County staff, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Shawn Howard as the County’s first IT Manager” stated Stanley. “Shawn comes to Prince Edward with over 15 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, having worked at Campbell County, and most recently, as the IT Manager for Cumberland County. Having in-house IT staff was one of the most identified issues by our constitutional officers and department heads when I came on board with the County. I appreciate the Board’s commitment and support to address this need.”

When asked to comment about his selection, Howard stated, “I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of the staff at Prince Edward County.  I look forward to helping the County implement new technology while continuing to deliver a high level of customer services to the citizens and staff.”
