Dove joins Habitat for Humanity

Piedmont Habitat for Humanity recently announced that Russell Dove had joined the organization in the role of community outreach.

This position is made possible by grant funding received from Habitat Virginia, the state support organization that serves local Habitat affiliates across Virginia.

Dove brings a long and outstanding record of service to the community, having served with the Longwood University Police and most recently as the Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police for Central Virginia Community College.

In addition, he served as both board member and chair of the Prince Edward County Public School Board for more than a decade.

During his time of school board service and his prior public service through law enforcement and volunteer emergency medical services, he has earned a long list of accolades for outstanding performance and meritorious service.

“Similar to my school board experience, I am very excited about this role and its opportunity to positively impact the lives of children, their families, and their future,” Dove said.
