Bonnie Speas Clabo passed away on May 31, 2020 at her home in Cumberland, VA. Born on May 30, 1953, Ms. Clabo was the daughter of the late Arlie Speas and Betty Speas Horn.

Ms. Clabo retired from the Virginia Department of Social Services, was a hair stylist, classroom assistant and bus driver for Cumberland County Schools. She was a jokester and loved a good belly laugh. She enjoyed art, mainly painting and stained glass, but her biggest joy was being “Grammy” to her granddaughter Haley.

She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Lee Ortiz (Tim), granddaughter Haley, mother Betty Horn, brother Ronnie Speas, sister Connie Speas (Margaret Carmichael), step-sister Rita Beverly (Ralph) and step brother David “Bo” Horne (Sharon), cousin and best friend Wayne Speas, nine nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and cousins and her four-legged companion Diesel Dog.

She is preceded in death by her father Arlie Speas, step-father Alvie Horn, brother Thomas “Tommy” Speas, and step-sister Wanda Sullivan.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials contributions may be made toward funeral expenses at Puckett Funeral Home, 115 Covington Court, Farmville, VA 23901. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
