Community members may now adopt a first responder.
The adoption process is hosted on Facebook.com/ Adopt-a-Prince-Edward- County-First-Responder.
Community members are invited to scroll through the posts and get to know the team at Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad (PEVRS). To adopt a first responder, simply comment “adopted” on their post. Residents may feel free to team-up and adopt the same first responder. The adoptions may be made by businesses, individuals, civic clubs, and churches.
First responders may be sent letters, cards, gift cards, or treats. PEVRS will post lots of pictures for everyone to share and enjoy.
All gifts must be clearly labeled with the adopted first responder’s name and may be dropped off at Amish Originals or at Prince Edward Rescue Squad. Gifts should be dropped off by May 20. Those unable to adopt a responder, but would like to participate may drop off any cards or gifts to Amish Originals.
