Dear Editor,

We are very opposed to the removal of our confederate statue. We view the statue as a tribute to the valiant people of our community. This country has many statues dedicated to the courageous men and women who have served this country since the Revolutionary War.

In our opinion, removing this statue will not serve to change history.
