Cumberland board calls for emergency public meeting by phone at 4 p.m.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors called for an emergency meeting to be held today, Monday, March 16, at 4 p.m.
The meeting will be held via electronic communication in accordance with §2.2-3708.2.A.3.
The purpose of the meeting, according to an email sent to The Herald at 2:49 p.m. today, is to discuss the state of emergency declared by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam regarding coronavirus, also called COVID-19.
Although the meeting is public, no public comment will be heard.
