Fuqua geography, spelling bee winners honored

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors took time during its Tuesday, Feb. 11, meeting to recognize the winners of the Fuqua School National Geographic Geography Bee and the Fuqua School Scripps Spelling Bee. Fuqua seventh-grader Joshua Milligan won the geography bee, which was held in early January. Milligan has moved on to compete in the National Geographic Regional Bee through an online assessment. Fuqua fourth-grader Elena Salamo won the spelling bee, which was held Jan. 31. She moved on to the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee at The Waldorf School in Richmond.
