Weekend activities at Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes State Park will be celebrating Black History Month with special tours of what used to be Prince Edward State Park from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1.
Visitors will be able to tour the historic Cedar Crest Conference Center and see where visitors to Prince Edward State Park for Negroes swam, fish, dined and danced in the 1950s and 60s.
This event is free to the public, but a parking fee applies, which can be paid at the park office. Past guests of Prince Edward State Park are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the park office at (434) 392-3435 or by emailing breanna.doll@dcr.virginia.gov.
