Rotarians give PECHS access to college

On Monday, Dec. 9, Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Farmville presented Prince Edward County High School (PECHS) with proceeds from its Rotary Runs event held in November. The organization raised more than $11,000 from Rotary Runs, a project of Access to College. Access to College is a Rotary Club of Farmville signature program that provides local high schoolers with the tools they will need to apply to college. Earlier this year, the club presented the school with 10 each of SAT and ACT prep books. The additional funding will help to defray students’ application costs. We commend the Rotary Club of Farmville for its support of area youth. (Send “Way to Go!” photos with a description and names to WayToGo@FarmvilleHerald.com.)
