Make a major impact in the life of a child who needs a chance for a safe and permanent home. On Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. CASA of Central Virginia will hold an hour-long video/slide presentation about the role and responsibilities of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children, and how to become one.

A question and answer period will be led by a veteran CASA who will answer questions about what to expect in this unique and rewarding volunteer role.

Applications are now being accepted for the winter training class which begins Feb. 5. The cutoff date to apply for the upcoming class is Dec. 16.
