2020: A NEW BEGINNING, 10 a.m. at Tearwallet Baptist Church (Route 60, Cumberland) Missionary Ministry. Come out and give thanks to God for His grace and mercy in allowing us to see another New Year. Speaker will be Associate Minister Van H. Petty, Sr. with music by Brother Michael Goins.
JUBILEE DAY, 11 am. hosted by the Prince Edward County NAACP at the Moton Museum. The speaker will be Dr. Amy Tillerson-Brown and music will be provided by Torrie Patterson. The theme for this year is “Still We Rise.” All are welcome to join us as we reflect on our past, present and future.
BEEKEEPERS TO MEET, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office near Lowe’s in Farmville. Retired Longwood chemistry professor Pat Barber will speak on “Keeping Honeybees in Southside Virginia. Sign-ups for the Bee School will be on a space available basis.
