The Farmville Jarheads held their annual Marine Corps birthday banquet on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Charley’s Waterfront Cafe and Wine Bar. Marines and their loved ones gathered at the banquet to enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the 244th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. Guests sang the Marine Corps hymn, donated gifts to Toys for Tots and enjoyed listening to guest speaker John Sigman, a retired Marine and crew chief of presidential helicopter Marine One.
