Jerry L. Clark, 71, of Farmville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2019.
Born in Parshall, North Dakota on August 26, 1948 to Anna and Arthur Clark. Jerry attended North Dakota State University as a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity of Pharmacy and earned his Bachelor of Science followed by a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology in 1971.
After meeting in Alexandria, VA and marrying, Jerry and his wife Debra moved to Farmville in 1972, where he went to work for Drug Fair Pharmacy. In 1987, Jerry branched out and opened Clark’s Pharmacy in downtown Farmville, an Independent Pharmacy that served the local community until his retirement in 2016. He provided stability for his customers and friends and was known throughout the area as a reliable source of pharmaceutical and practical expertise, local knowledge and an infectious sense of humor.
During his retirement, Jerry loved to fish the local watering holes in the area, as well as spending time supporting and watching NDSU Bison sports. He enjoyed spending time with his faithful companion Furman at his backyard pool oasis but most importantly enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his many friends, children and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife Debra of 47 years, 4 children and 6 grandchildren and his dog who was ever at his side.
