Buckingham 57, Northumberland 30 — Final

Buckingham County High School’s varsity football team led 50-0 at halftime on Friday night and then emptied the bench for the entire second half on its way to a 57-30 road victory over previously undefeated host Northumberland High School.

Fuqua 42, Massanutten Military 14 — Final

Fuqua School’s varsity football team produced a dominant performance for the home crowd during Saturday afternoon’s game, allowing younger Falcon players an opportunity to take the field and contribute to the team’s 42-14 victory over visiting Massanutten Military Academy. With the win Fuqua improves to 6-0.

Nottoway 14, Prince Edward 6 — Final

Prince Edward County High School’s varsity football team held strong in a defensive battle Friday night against a Nottoway High School team that had been averaging 31.8 points per game, but the Eagles were not able to generate the offense needed to clinch the win as the host Cougars prevailed 14-6.

Bluestone 39, Cumberland 0 — Final

In a battle of teams seeking their first win, Cumberland County High School’s varsity football team struggled against visiting Bluestone High School, suffering its fourth shutout loss of the season with a 39-0 defeat.
