Daniel Wyatt McFadden, 78 of Blackstone, formerly of Prospect, VA passed away on September 30, 2019. He is the son of the late Charlie D. and Rachel O’Brien McFadden. He joined the US Navy at age 17 and served his country. He was married to the late Dale Loraine Shelton McFadden and together they raised two sons. He worked for many years as a Tree Service operator for many Virginia Utility Services. He is survived by his two sons; Steven D. McFadden and wife Tracey of Camden, NC., Michael A. McFadden and wife Rhonda of Scottsburg, VA., six grandchildren; Autumn, Christy, Jarrett, Jacob, Jayce, Carlana, a sister Ellen M. Jones and husband Lynn, a nephew Jerry D. Jones and a dear friend Gladys Loftis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Larry W. McFadden and Robert B. McFadden.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service starting at 4 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
