Dorothy Shumaker, 91, of Dillwyn passed away August 20, 2019 at The Woodlands. She was born June 14, 1928 in Buckingham County to the late James Granderson and Rosa A. Newton. She was the widow of George Emmett Shumaker and the last surviving of 10 children.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, several special, Shelby Taylor (Mel) and their family, Paul Garrett (Frances), Peggy Bickford (Steve) and Mamie Cheseldine.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
