Dunnavant tapped for CRC treasurer

Morgan Dunnavant, Buckingham County District Four Supervisor, will continue in his current role as treasurer for the Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC).

Officers were appointed during the CRC’s meeting June 19.

Lunenburg County Brown’s Store District Supervisor Mike Hankins was appointed chairman of the CRC, succeeding Amelia County Chairman and District One Supervisor Tommy Gleason. Gleason was appointed vice president.

Gary Walker, County Seat District Supervisor with the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors, was appointed secretary.

Gleason was nominated to serve a state Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions Board of Directors. A vote would take place at a state conference on July 24-26.

“He’s done an outstanding job as our chair,” Hankins said about Gleason’s services to the CRC, particularly during a time of transition in the organization. To Gleason, he said, “Thank you for your work.”
