Jesse John Reppert, 45, of Powhatan, was arrested March 23 and charged with malicious bodily injury after a domestic assault, according to police.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Senior Administrative Assistant Marion “Billy” Black said Reppert is being held at Piedmont Regional Jail without bond. Black said this may be due to the charge’s severity and the injury sustained to the victim.

Black said while Reppert has a Powhatan address, the post office is located in Cumberland County.
